The preservation of the earth's environment is an extremely serious issue. YAMADA gives full consideration to each of the various steps in the life cycles of generated waste as we strive to establish ggreen factories" in which we can take advantage of recycled materials and reduce the wasting of our resources and energy in our manufacturing and processing operations for parts used in 4-wheeled vehicles, 2-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles) and other all-purpose products.
- Furthermore YAMADA strives to achieve conditions of Zero Emissions with regard to waste items generated in each step of those life cycles through minimal contamination and by disposing of these items appropriately.

- We strive to observe the laws and regulations of various self-governing bodies from the outset in our continuing efforts to further improve and preserve our environment.
- With regard to our goal to reduce industrial waste to a minimum (by not generating any waste materials from the very beginning), we maintain major reduction and recycling activities.
- We strive preserve natural resources by fully utilizing the energy and resources that we do use in our operations.
- In order to do our part in preventing the further destruction of the earth's ozone layers, we are continuing to avoid the use of machinery identified as utilizing chlorofluorocarbon s, and when we replace old equipment in our facilities, we also replace fire extinguishing equipment that uses halon gas for equipment that is more environmental friendly.
- With regard to water preservation and the maintenance of water purity in the drainage water from our facilities, we maintain a policy of self-management standards based upon the concept of "thinking on your own, and acting on your own" in order to assure "appropriate treatment" of our water resources.
- In order to presure out soil, we make efforts to prevent pollation by upgrading emergency device technology used for floors, road surfaces, tanks and underground pits, and by implementing planned main entrance management.
- We continue to elevate the levels of our technology with regard to reducing the release of pollutants in to the atmosphere.
- We work hard to maintain communication with the local communitiess in which we have established roots and we take pro active approach towards participating in local activities designed to preserve the environment.
- We provide a well-organized environmental education for all of our staff members in order to elevate their awareness of the necessity to preserve the environment.
- We take every possible safety precaution with regard to the activities mentioned above and we strive to elevate the awareness of the members of our Safety & Hygiene Committees.
